week 6 reflection podcast and windows movie maker

TASK#1

This week we learnt how to create a podcast using the audacity software that was downloaded from Ninite.com. To complete this task successfully I had to:

1. Search on Google for  Ninite.com  for Audacity

2. Download and save the said software

3.Run the software on the laptop to ensure that it is compatible

4. Maneuver the software to ensure I know how to work with it

5. Record my podcast from a script that was previously created using google doc

6. Edit the podcast script to my liking

7. Save the podcast in a MP3 format by selecting  export to music  file tab

8. Save the file to Google drive

9. Share the podcast script with Mrs. Roberts via Google drive

While completing this task there were numerous challenges which to date have not been resolved. One of the challenges include: fading in and out the song for the podcast. When I get back to the classroom I will utilize this media by creating instructions for the students to follow in the event of my absence from classes.

Enjoy my  podcast

Happy viewing and Happy blogging!!!

TASK #2

Also, we created a short video using a movie maker programme. Below are the steps used to complete this task successfully.

1. Download a  movie maker program form the internet

2. Save and run the program to ensure it is compatible with my pc

3.Maneuver the software to know my limitations

4. Begin putting together my movie by including titles and pictures

5. Import  and edit video clips to add to my movie

6.Add music, video transitions, effects  and sound to my movie

7. Add credits to the movie

8. Save the document to google drive

9. Share the document with Mrs.
Roberts

Challenges while completing this task were limitless. Firstly, I had no internet access and when I finally got internet I couldn't get to run any of the movie maker software  that I previously downloaded on my pc. To resolve this  issue I had to use another computer that had the original windows movie make software. After creating  the movie with the requested items, I forgot to include the creative commons license👹.  Now trying to redo the movie to include ALL of the requested information, the version of windows movie maker on the computer that I was using expired. To add to the frustration the computer started freezing after I downloaded another movie maker software. The end result was unfortunate as I ended up submitting the first movie that was created without the creative common license. This is an excellent tool that can be used in the classroom to meet each learners', learning style and will also make your lesson more realistic and interactive.

Enjoy my movie

Happy viewing and Happy blogging!!!
